碱性染料，亦称盐基性染料。在水溶液中能解离生成阳离子色素的染料，故划归为阳离子染料类。由于碱性染料上染纤维后耐光色牢度和耐洗色牢度较差，现在已很少于织物的染色，主要用于文教用品、纸张的着色及制造色淀。
